[Case Study of Problem-Solving Proposal] Drink Can Casing and Picking
Move the robot along with its base and pick all the varieties of one shelf with a single robot!
Here is an example of the introduction of our "Robot Case Picker" in a logistics warehouse. To ship varying quantities daily and to different destinations, we employed part-time workers for picking, but there were often days when we could not secure enough personnel. Equipped with a hand tool that can pick 6 cans at a time, the processing capacity is up to 600 picks per hour. Compared to manual work where a person can carry a maximum of 4 to 5 cans at once, the work efficiency has improved. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Challenges - To perform picking fully automatically, it is necessary to automate the discharge when the cardboard boxes that contained the drink cans are empty. ■ Proposal - Move the robot along with its base to pick all varieties from one shelf with a single robot, and by installing three sets of this, fully automate three shelves.
